Nadia Farooqui designs comprise a spectrum of styles catering to a diverse client base from classic to contemporary for women of all ages. A young entrepreneur with a tenacity to understand complex silhouettes, colors and patterns effortlessly Nadia has quickly made herself an active member of the fashion community. We recently spotted the designers sister Rabia Farooqui; a fine artist herself- sporting an eclectic range of Nadia Farooqui formal wear designs to a wedding! Looking effervescent while donning a mixture of luxe looks  from high-low hemlines to lehnga choli’s and saree’s; scroll down and have a look at how and why Rabia Farooqui chose which outfit and how the fine artist chose to style each of her sisters ensembles:

Fun & Flirty Meets Comfort

Traditional with a hint of modernity- the pink high-low top is intricately handcrafted in resham along with sequence and qora dubka zardozi. Paired with classic ivory azaar complete with cut-work and sequence!

Rabia: For the dholki event which was outdoors, I made sure I wore something that collaborated easily with the heat. Azaar’s not only make a fashion statement but they manage to make you look young and feminine. A nude lip color with very delicate earrings completed the look i was going for!

The Traditional Lehnga Choli

This stunning blue choli is heavily worked in qora dubka with a touch of poppy resham and gotta. It’s paired with a flowing lehnga in classic ivory and hand-worked in tilla to complete this regal look. Finishing off this ensemble is a rich purple chunri dupatta that we absolutely adore!

Rabia: There is something about weddings that always take you back to your roots and bring out your traditional side. For that reason, I opted for a look that was embellished by all things gotta. A dusty blue choli with kora dubka embellishments paired with a gorgeous deep purple chunri dupatta. To add a modern twist to the over all styling of this formal I decided to get a braided hairdo and kept the jewelry minimal to keep all focus on my outfit!

Saree Game On Point

Forever in love with a perfectly draped saree; this one truly takes the cake! The sequence net saree has a border worked in resham and qora dabka to highlight the lush base; adding an essence of grandeur to the entire look!

Rabia: Powder blue has got to be my favorite go-to color for valima events. I decided to pick a a classic Nadia Farooqui saree for this day except i chose to wear it differently; more like a dupatta than a saree. In order to stay true to the potential of the outfit, I went for a timeless middle parting bun and paired it with dangling chandelier earrings. This was by far my favorite look of all!
